About me

My name is Steve, I am from the West Midlands and I have a passion for building friendships.

Working in Business I love reading, writing and learning new skills as often as I can. My aim is to create a blog (Inspired4business) where professionals, students and like minded people from across the world can come and take something positive away. Whether it be a nugget of inspiration, a new friend/connection from the blogosphere or some material from the ‘shop page’ which is actually in the process of being developed.

Here are some questions my followers have been asking me recently, I want to share my answers with all of you..

Where did it all begin?Croupier Inspired

I think that it all began for me when I was a young man working as a Croupier in my local Casinos. I was 18 and was thrown into the mix of the crazy and interesting gambling world. I developed a HUGE amount of social skills here as I was interacting with people in a tense and busy environment.

Working in Casinos helped me understand different personality types and get to grips in the real world of human interaction. It was the starting point for me in being genuinely interested in other people. I also have some awesome stories too – which would not be appropriate to put here…(Get in touch and I will!)

Have I ever used ‘Inspirational material’ to help me in difficult times?

Yes! Most recently was this time last year I lost my Grandma February 2014 and it came as a real shock to me and my family and it had a really harsh affect on my health. As this difficult period was getting somewhat easier I then became seriously ill with a severe prostate infection. Doctors said this was due to me being vulnerable and having a weak immune system at this time.

During the 3 months I had tPositive Thougthts Inspiredhis horrific infection, whereby I could hardly walk, sleep or sit, it became a real test to my normally very positive attitude. When I came out of hospital and was advised to have 2 baths a day and sit on  a cushion at my desk, I used all my resources to change my state of mind and help me ride this storm; the positive and inspiring books, articles and blogs I read were just perfect. They helped me so much to keep my head up, keep believing and I personally think they helped me get better faster than any medication I could have been prescribed.

It taught me that your mind is the most powerful tool you can ever have. It is the control panel to your body, controlling your thoughts and your mindset. It can have a huge impact on stress levels and ultimately your health! I’d like to thank all of you who write inspirational material like I try to. I am sure that all this content is helping someone, somewhere in the world more than we know…

Where does all your content come from?

Over the last 8 years I have built relationships in excess of 7000 professionals online across the world. This has enabled me to understand what inspires and motivates people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds.

I was inspired to start this blog after facing some difficult challenges in both my personal life and career. I took inspiration from some of the greatest leaders in modern times which helped me realise that no matter what life throws at you, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Having read over 500 books on social science and human relations, and having conducted many online surveys about motivation and human interaction, I now feel compelled to share what I have learned!

My goal is simply to create an engaging online network where others can take inspiration from, and where you too can share your own ideas and thoughts.  I am keen to liaise with as many readers/followers as possible. If you have any questions or great ideas for me please Get in touch here;
